Project duration: 2 months (Group Work of 4)
Motive: To transform Old Kallang Airport into a vibrant location for Work, Live and Play! While conserving the existing features of the site and shining light on its memories. Making the Historical and Cultural layers of the site known.

Ideation of Project

Old Kallang Airport has a very rich history, journeying from its time as a mangrove forest to its land reclamation constructions, to its aviation establishments. And lastly, travelling to its development as the 1st People’s Association Headquarters. To connect the site’s historical chapters by experience, through mimicking a mangrove habitat.

Master planning the site into chapters, based on the history of the site.

Mangrove, Connect, Experience

Our inspiration came from the study of mangrove habitat and ecology. Our ideations were the communities of creatures present in this system, their relationship with the mangrove forest and the animals' movements.
